Tower apartment is in a distinctive building which was built as a jet workshop back in the Victorian era when the black gemstone was found along the cliffs and at the height of it’s popularity. The current owner has stripped the property back to its bare bones before creating the most fabulous restoration, sparing no expense in ensuring you have a comfortable stay with a touch of luxury. Tower Apartment is up on the first floor and offers an open plan living space which was designed to impress with a high spec kitchen topped with a granite worktops. There is comfortable seating in front of the generously sized TV, as well as a dining area. There are two bedrooms, both beautifully presented doubles with their own TV’s. The shower room is modern and inviting, and completes the apartment. Outside by the entrance there is a small communal courtyard, with seating, where you can have a morning coffee out in the sunshine if you wish. On a peaceful side road just off a popular shopping street in Whitby, with quirky independent shops as well as a Victorian tearoom. This apartment is located on the west side of Whitby, just a short distance from the cliff top with the beach stretching out below.
You are within easy walking distance of the many attractions and sights this gorgeous coastal town boasts. Whitby has a host of attractions attracting guests from around the world. There are an abundance of walks and cycle tracks for ramblers and cyclists to take advantage of, including the Cleveland Way, as well as the Esk Valley and its stunning scenery, best enjoyed from the windows of the steam train that travels right into the heart of the North York Moors National Park from Whitby to Pickering. Other attractions for a day out include Flamingo Land, Dalby Forest as well as Alpamare waterpark and spa. The medieval walled city of York is just an hour away and is well worth a visit.
