Summary: Not the Waldorf Astoria and a bit pricey but NY city is expensive. The room was adequate for me and it was just a couple of blocks from the presentation I was attending...so it was convenient. The staff was nice and the house and kitchen accessible to the guests. The bed was very comfortable. Building dates back to the 1930s according to the family who owns the guesthouse so it is an older building which does show. Bring your toiletries but they do provide towels. You need to share an outside bathroom. Also it can be a bit noisy outside your window since a city train is close to the building and also they are doing construction on the block. Still I was satisfied with the convenience of staying at the guesthouse.
